TAITA
Co-director and documentary researcher on the Colombian shaman Querubin Queta.
Taita: "father", in the Quechua language, is traditionally used among various indigenous communities to refer to older men to whom respect is owed (fathers, grandparents, authorities).
The boom in ayahuasca ceremonies between Mexico and Colombia and the supposed shamans who benefit economically from this practice invite us to reflect on the use of this ancient medicine and the reality of the communities that continue to experience the remnants of the war in the Colombian Amazon.
